I am looking for any information concerning the death and final resting place of one Del Meta [Delmedia] BEAUCHAMP who came to Texas from Arkansas ca. 1882-90. He was a Baptist Minister and had served in the 31st Ms. Co. K. during the Civil War having joined the service in Ellistown [or Allentown, Pontotoc Co., Ms.] Del Meta had married one Louvella Paulina JONES [anglo Cherokee] about 1867. She died after their move to Texas and he remarried a Pernettie LUEVANIE {?} on Nov. 7, 1897 [Ref.: Civil War Pension Recs.]. She died in Cleburne, Johnson Co., Tx. in the home of her son-in-law, G. W. LANKFORD, on June 27, 1932. Del Meta by the way died in Bell Co., Tx. on May 13, 1899. Del and Pernettie were suppose to have had a daughter, Mary. Would be happy to hear from any of their descendants.

I am looking for any information concerning the death of Lucetta McLendon [McClendon] McELROY , widower of Cyrus Decatur McELROY. Lucetta died in Bell Co. in Nov. of 1912. She was the daughter of Joel McLENDON and Sarah WHITE of Ms. Cyrus McElroy was a member of the 31st Ms. during the Civil War. Came to Texas from Ms. ca.. 1892 and settled near Temple, Texas. At some time he moved to Rowena, Runnels County, Texas. He died there in 1908. Apparently Lucetta moved back to Bell Co., Tx. to be near some of her family.

We are looking for a DENSON clan, supposedly out of Bell County. We know George Edward DENSON, born 8-11-1869, married in Texas in 1888, Comfort Editha WHITNEY, born 12-26-1874. Ed and Editha were in Oklahoma by 1898. Their oldest boy, Forest "Dutch" DENSON was born at Florence, Tx, in 1882. Their second child, Charley, was born in Bell Co, 1890. That's all we know. Ed was a taciturn ol' cuss and wouuldn't relate much info. Even buried his father under a headstone that read Grandpa DENSON, with no dates.

Looking for information on the family of Henry and Mary DEGRUMMOND. According to the Social Security Death Index, Henry died in August of 1979 and Mary in December of 1975 in Salado, TX. I don't know if they had any children. I do know several generations back for Henry. His father Harry died in Guatemala in 1889. Both Mary and Henry (and his father Harry and his mother M. J.) worked for the railroad and retired on a railroad pension.

Incidentally, on the 1900 census in Harris County, TX, M.J., a widow, and son Henry are living with two young nieces, Mattie and Hallie JACKSON. Maybe they came to Salado too. M.J. is a Railroad Station Agent.

I would be grateful to get any information about the DeGRUMMONDS, particularly from someone who knew them. Perhaps there is a mention or obit for them in a local newspaper. I am willing to trade some research from the National Archive here in
Washington DC, with someone in Bell County who can help get some information on this branch of my family.

I am documenting the DeGRUMMOND family extensively and have traced the family from origins in Canada and Pennsylvania, to the spreading of the children to places like Michigan, Indiana and Illinois. Looking for info on Jeames Edward DAVIS'S parents. He was born in Bell co. in 1877. I am having a problem with this line. It is my husband's and all his grandfather's first names were James. Any help would be appreciated.

I am seeking information on Florence Alma EAKIN, born in Belton on February 6, 1874 and her family. Florence's parents were William and Emily EAKIN. Her brothers and sisters were Nancy, John Perry, and Alberta. Florence married Philip David COTTON on July 7, 1892 in Killeen. Thank you.

Benjamin Lewis TUCKER disappeared in 1880 from his home about 8 miles from Moffatt. He had been married for 5 months and had mentioned nothing to anyone about leaving. He left home with two horses to work in his fields and was never heard from again. His sisters (one of which was my g-great grandmother) and wife looked for him, advertising in newspapers from TX to TN (where his parents had came from) hoping to hear from him. His wife's name was Melissa ? and his sisters were Mary NELSON, Tennessee JOYCE, Rebecca DUTTON, and Annie TUCKER. Any information about this incident would be greatly appreciated.
